Events At Accent

Accent Sisters hosts regular events celebrating writing, art, and culture. Some events include: book launches, poetry readings, music, craft workshops, dialect corners, film screenings and artist talks. Please check out our calendar for upcoming events.

Exhibitions At Accent

Each month, Accent Sisters presents one or more art exhibitions that feature both emerging and established artists in fine art, interactive media arts, writing, book arts, and other creative disciplines. We also host exhibition open-calls on a regular basis to provide a platform for local artists, students, and creators in the Accent Sisters community.

Accent Sisters hosts one-time online craft classes and 6-week workshops for our community ranging from creative writing, poetry, essay, and more. We also provide creative writing MFA application consultations and O1 consultations for students who are in need.

Co-initiated by Accent Society, The Weirdo Podcast, and Chartbook, the Accent Salon Series seeks to foster intellectual exchange between New York’s English and Chinese-speaking communities — and those who move between them — through a mix of online and in-person gatherings.
