Group Exhibition: Eros is a Rose

Accent Sisters presents Eros is a Rose, a group exhibition inspired by Gertrude Stein’s famous line, “A rose is a rose is a rose,” and William Shakespeare’s adage, “A rose by any other name.”

Curated by Colleen Dalusong, the exhibition brings together 26 artists who navigate selfhood and desire in a plethora of contexts. The red string of destiny elusively weaves in and out through the domestic space and cyber-space, the subconscious and the sensual, as well as the romantic and bureaucratic. As we follow this thread, we traverse the labyrinthine corridors of the instinctive habits, interpersonal relationships, and inexplicable passions that shape our personalities.
